Car
If you're traveling by car from any point in the Viphya Mountains, head towards the main road leading to the town of Mzuzu. Take the road that leads north towards the area of the Vipya Mountains. After approximately 30 kilometers, turn onto a smaller gravel road that leads directly to the base of the Vipya Mountains. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as the last stretch may be challenging. Park at the designated area at the base and prepare for a short hike to explore the peaks.

To reach the Vipya Mountains using public transportation, first take a minibus or a shared taxi from Mzuzu to the nearest village close to the mountains. The fare should be around 1,500 MWK. Once you arrive at the village, you may need to hire a local guide or negotiate with a motorbike taxi to take you the remaining distance to the base of the Vipya Mountains.
