Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Zomba town center. Head east on the M3 road towards Machinga. After approximately 12 km, look for the sign for Kumbikano Rocks on your right. Turn onto the gravel road and continue for about 5 km. You will reach the parking area near Kumbikano Rocks, where you can park your car and walk the remaining distance.
Public Transportation
To reach Kumbikano Rocks using public transportation, take a minibus from Zomba to Machinga. The minibuses leave from the Zomba bus station. Inform the driver that you would like to stop at Kumbikano Rocks. The fare is typically around 500 MWK. Once you disembark, you will need to walk about 2 km along the gravel road to reach the rocks. Be sure to ask locals for directions if you're unsure.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of Kumbikano Rocks, you can walk to the site. From the nearest parking area, follow the marked trails that lead to the rocks. The walk is approximately 1 km and takes about 20-30 minutes. It's a beautiful hike through the natural surroundings, so take your time and enjoy the scenery.
