From George Town, head to the nearest bus stop, which is usually located along Jalan Penang or Jalan Magazine. Take the Rapid Penang Bus number 102 or 101. Both buses depart regularly and will take you towards Tanjung Bungah. Stay on the bus until you reach the Tanjung Bungah area, which should take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. The bus will announce stops, and you should disembark at the Tanjung Bungah stop. From there, walk towards Jalan Batu Ferringhi, which is a short distance away. Follow the signs towards the Floating Mosque, which is located along the beachfront.

Trishaw
If you prefer a more local experience, you can hire a trishaw from various spots in George Town. Negotiate the fare with the driver beforehand, and ask them to take you to the Floating Mosque in Tanjung Bungah. The ride should take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, as the trishaw will navigate through the city and coastal roads towards your destination.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from the central area of George Town. Head towards the coast by walking along Jalan Penang until you reach the waterfront. This route will take you through some of the local streets, allowing you to enjoy the atmosphere of the city. Once you reach the coast, continue along the shoreline until you reach Tanjung Bungah. Although this is quite a long walk (approximately 7 km), it’s a great way to explore the area on foot. Be prepared with water and wear comfortable shoes.
