Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards Bukit Bendera. From Georgetown, take Jalan Penang (also known as Jalan Dr. Lim Chwee Leong) and follow signs to Bukit Bendera. Once you reach the base station, find parking nearby (note that parking fees may apply). From the base station, you will need to take the funicular train to the top of Penang Hill, which costs approximately RM30 for a round trip. The train ride offers stunning views of the island.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Earthquake & Typhoon Pavilion via public transport, take a rapid bus (Rapid Penang) to the Bukit Bendera area. The bus number 204 and 201 can take you close to the base station of the funicular. Once you arrive at the Bukit Bendera stop, you will need to walk to the funicular station. The funicular train costs about RM30 for a round trip. After reaching the top, follow signs to the Earthquake & Typhoon Pavilion, which is located at Jalan Tunku Yahaya Petra.

• Taxi/Grab

  Using a taxi or Grab (a popular ride-hailing service in Malaysia) is another convenient option. Simply input 'Earthquake & Typhoon Pavilion Penang Hill' as your destination. The cost will vary depending on your starting location but expect to pay around RM20 to RM40 from Georgetown. Once you arrive at the base station, take the funicular train to the top, which costs RM30 for a round trip.
