If you are driving, start from George Town, the capital of Penang. Head southwest on Jalan Penang, then turn left onto Lebuh Light. Continue on this road until you reach the Jelutong Expressway (E36). Follow the signs to Batu Maung. Once you reach Batu Maung, take the road leading to Teluk Kumbar and look for the ferry terminal for the boat service to Tikus Island. The ferry ride typically costs around RM 10 per person and takes approximately 30 minutes.

To reach Tikus Island by public transport, first take a bus from George Town (Bus No. 102 or 401) heading towards Batu Maung. The bus fare is around RM 2.50. Disembark at the Batu Maung bus stop. From there, walk to the ferry terminal, which is about a 10-minute walk. Purchase your ferry ticket at the terminal for around RM 10 per person. The ferry ride to Tikus Island will take approximately 30 minutes.

You can also opt for a taxi or a ride-sharing service like Grab. From George Town, input Tikus Island as your destination. The fare will vary depending on traffic but expect to pay around RM 30 to RM 50. The driver will take you directly to the ferry terminal at Batu Maung.
