Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Jitra town. From Alor Setar, take the Jalan Putra route (Route 1) towards Jitra. Once you arrive in Jitra, look for signs leading to Pekan Jitra. The Bukit Malau Trailhead is located at Pekan Jitra, 06000 Jitra, Kedah. You will notice a small road leading to the trailhead from Pekan Jitra. There is no entry fee for the trailhead, but make sure to park responsibly.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, take a bus from Alor Setar to Jitra. Buses regularly run from Alor Setar Bus Terminal to Jitra. Once you arrive at the Jitra bus station, you can take a local taxi or rideshare service to the Bukit Malau Trailhead. Make sure to let the driver know your destination as they may not be familiar with the trailhead specifically. The taxi fare from Jitra town to the trailhead should be around RM 10-15.
Walking
If you are already in Pekan Jitra, you can walk to the Bukit Malau Trailhead. From the town center, head south on Jalan Malau and continue straight until you reach the trailhead. It is approximately a 15-20 minute walk, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for some uneven terrain as you approach the trail.
