Car
If you are driving from Alor Setar, head southwest on Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman (Route 1) towards Jalan Sultan Badlishah. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the junction with Route 113. Take the exit towards Route 113 and follow this road for about 30 minutes. You will see signs for Gunung Jerai. Turn onto Jalan Gunung Jerai and follow the winding road uphill until you reach the Gunung Jerai View Point. Be sure to keep an eye on the road as it can be narrow and winding in some areas. Parking is available at the viewpoint.
Public Transportation
Take a bus from Alor Setar to Yan. Buses leave regularly from the Alor Setar bus terminal and the journey takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Yan, you can hire a taxi or a Grab (a ride-hailing service) to take you to Gunung Jerai View Point. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes and may cost around MYR 30-50, depending on negotiation.
