Car
If you're driving to Wat Phothivihan from Kota Bharu, take Jalan Sultan Yahya Petra heading northwest. Continue on this road for about 10 km until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Jalan Pengkalan Chepa and continue for approximately 4 km. Then turn right onto Jalan Tumpat. Follow this road for another 15 km until you see signs for Kampung Jambu. Wat Phothivihan is located in Kampung Jambu, Tumpat. Make sure to park in the designated areas around the temple.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, start at the Kota Bharu Bus Terminal. Take a bus heading to Tumpat, which is approximately a 30-minute ride. Once you arrive at Tumpat, you can take a local taxi or ride-sharing service to Kampung Jambu. The taxi ride should take around 10-15 minutes. Ensure you have some Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) for the taxi fare, which typically costs around MYR 20-30.
Walking
If you're already in Kampung Jambu, you can reach Wat Phothivihan on foot. The temple is located around 1 km from the center of the village, which is about a 15-minute walk. Just head southeast on Jalan Kampung Jambu until you reach the temple. Enjoy the local scenery along the way!
