Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car to the Aki-Aki Trail starting point, first ensure your vehicle is well-fueled for the journey. From the main entrance of Kinabalu National Park, head towards the Kundasang area. Follow the road signs directing you to Kundasang. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes (about 23 km) from the park entrance. Once in Kundasang, look for the Aki-Aki Trail sign, which is located just off the main road. There is usually parking available nearby, but it's good to arrive early to secure a spot.

    To reach the Aki-Aki Trail starting point via public transportation, you can take a bus from Kota Kinabalu to Kundasang. Buses leave frequently from the bus terminal in Kota Kinabalu and the journey takes around 2-3 hours, costing approximately RM 30-40. Once you arrive in Kundasang, you may need to hire a local taxi or use a ride-sharing app to reach the Aki-Aki Trail starting point.
