Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Kinabalu National Park headquarters. Head southeast on the main road (Route 24) towards the Ranau direction. After approximately 10 kilometers, look for the sign leading to Kipungit Waterfall. Turn onto the gravel road and follow the signs. The road can be bumpy, so drive carefully. Continue for another 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the waterfall entrance. Parking is usually free.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a bus from the Kinabalu National Park headquarters to Ranau. Buses run regularly and cost around RM 10. Once you arrive in Ranau, you can hire a taxi or a local ride-sharing service to take you to Kipungit Waterfall. The taxi ride will cost approximately RM 30-50 depending on negotiation and traffic. Make sure to arrange for a return trip with the driver if using a taxi.

For those who enjoy hiking, from the parking area, you can take a well-marked trail to Kipungit Waterfall. The hike is relatively easy and takes about 30 minutes. Follow the path downhill, and you will hear the sound of the waterfall as you approach. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the trail can be uneven.
