Car
If you are driving from Kinabalu National Park, head east on the road towards Kota Kinabalu. Continue on the road for approximately 2 hours, following signs to Kota Kinabalu. Once you reach the city, follow the signs to Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal. There is parking available near the terminal, but be aware that there may be parking fees of around RM5-10 per day. After parking, walk to the terminal to purchase your ferry ticket to Sapi Island.

To travel by public transportation, take a bus from Kinabalu National Park to Kota Kinabalu. Buses operate daily from the park entrance to the city. The fare is approximately RM20. Once you arrive in Kota Kinabalu, make your way to Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal. This may involve a short taxi ride or a walk depending on your arrival point in the city. At the terminal, purchase a ferry ticket to Sapi Island.

Taxi or Ride-Sharing
You can also opt for a taxi or a ride-sharing service from Kinabalu National Park directly to Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal in Kota Kinabalu. This is a more convenient option, especially if you are traveling with a group. The journey will take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic and will cost approximately RM150-200. Once you arrive at the terminal, purchase your ferry ticket to Sapi Island.

From Jesselton Point, ferries to Sapi Island operate regularly. Tickets cost around RM30 for a round trip. The ferry ride takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Make sure to check the schedule for the last ferry back to Jesselton Point, as it typically departs in the late afternoon.
