Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Kota Bharu Central Market (Pasar Besar Kota Bharu), exit the market and head southeast on Jalan Hilir. Walk straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Jalan Sultan. Turn left onto Jalan Sultan and continue walking for another 300 meters. Padang Merdeka will be on your right, opposite the Kota Bharu Municipal Council building.

    From the Siti Khadijah Market, exit the market and turn left onto Jalan Siti Khadijah. Walk straight for about 400 meters until you reach the traffic lights at Jalan Sultan. Cross the road and turn right onto Jalan Sultan. Continue walking for approximately 200 meters, and you will find Padang Merdeka on your left.

    If you are near the Bus Terminal (Terminal Bas Kota Bharu), you can take a local bus heading towards Jalan Sultan. Get off at the stop closest to the Kota Bharu Municipal Council building. From there, it is a short walk of about 200 meters. Head back towards Jalan Sultan, and Padang Merdeka will be right across the road.
