Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in the city center of Kota Kinabalu, start by heading to the waterfront area known as Jesselton Point. From there, you can follow the coastline towards the north until you reach Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens. Turn left onto Jalan Tun Fuad Stephens and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Jalan Gaya. Continue walking straight for about 1 km, and you will see the signs for the Sabah Museum on your left. The Bryde's Whale Skeleton is located within the museum grounds at Jalan Muzium, 88300 Kota Kinabalu. It’s a short walk from the museum entrance.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the city center, head to the nearest bus stop and catch a bus heading towards the Sabah Museum. Look for buses with signs indicating 'Sabah Museum' or ask the driver if you're unsure. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the bus stop near the museum, exit the bus and follow the signs to the museum entrance. The Bryde's Whale Skeleton is displayed within the museum.

  For a more direct route, you can use a taxi or a ride-hailing app like Grab. Simply input 'Sabah Museum' as your destination. The driver will take you directly to the museum entrance on Jalan Muzium. The journey from the city center should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic conditions. After arriving, you can enter the museum to see the Bryde's Whale Skeleton.
