Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Jonker Street, head southeast on Jonker Street towards Jalan Hang Jebat. Turn left onto Jalan Hang Jebat and walk until you reach Jalan Laksamana. Turn right onto Jalan Laksamana and continue walking. You will pass various shops and eateries. After about 10 minutes, you will see the Malacca River. Follow the river to your left, and you will find the Malacca River Walk along the waterfront. It’s a beautiful walk with scenic views and art murals.

From A Famosa Fort, exit the area and head southeast towards Jalan Parameswara. Continue straight until you reach Jalan Laksamana. Turn left onto Jalan Laksamana and walk for about 15 minutes. Keep an eye out for the river on your right side. Once you reach the riverbank, turn right to find the Malacca River Walk. This area is vibrant with local art and eateries.

Starting from the Malacca Sultanate Palace, exit the palace grounds and head south on Jalan Kota towards the river. Continue straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the riverbank. Once at the river, turn left, and you will be on the Malacca River Walk, which features beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere.
