If you are starting from Jonker Street, head south towards Jalan Hang Jebat. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jalan Laksamana. Turn left onto Jalan Laksamana and keep walking until you reach the end of the road. From there, turn right onto Jalan Banda Hilir. Follow this road until you see the Merdeka Obelisk on your left, situated in a small park area.

Starting from A Famosa Fort, exit the fort and head southeast towards Jalan Kota. Walk straight until you reach Jalan Banda Hilir. Turn left at Jalan Banda Hilir and continue walking. The Merdeka Obelisk will be on your left, just past the roundabout.
