    Getting There

    Walking

    If you are starting from Jonker Street, head south on Jalan Hang Jebat for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. Turn left onto Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock and continue straight for about 300 meters. You will reach the intersection with Jalan Kota. Turn right onto Jalan Kota and walk for another 200 meters. Muzium Rakyat will be on your left.

    If you are starting from A Famosa, exit the fortress and head towards Jalan Laksamana. Walk along Jalan Laksamana until you reach the intersection with Jalan Kota. Turn left onto Jalan Kota and continue walking for about 300 meters. Muzium Rakyat will be on your right.

    Walking

    If you are near the Malacca Sultanate Palace Museum, exit the museum and walk towards the main road, Jalan Kota. Turn right and continue straight for approximately 100 meters. Muzium Rakyat will be on your left side.

    Public Transport (Bus)

    From the Malacca Sentral Bus Terminal, take the bus number 17 or 18 towards Banda Hilir. The bus will take you directly to the Banda Hilir area. Once you reach the Banda Hilir bus stop, disembark and walk along Jalan Kota for about 200 meters. Muzium Rakyat will be on your left.

    Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the nearby rental shops in the Jonker Street area. Head south on Jalan Hang Jebat, then turn left onto Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock. Continue cycling straight until you reach Jalan Kota. Turn right and Muzium Rakyat will be on your left after about 200 meters.
