If you are in the UNESCO World Heritage area of Malacca, start your journey at the iconic A Famosa fortress. Head north on Jalan Kota, then turn left onto Jalan Ujong Pasir. Continue walking straight for about 15 minutes and you will reach St John's Fort, located on a hill overlooking the Straits of Malacca.

From the Malacca Central Bus Station, take Bus No. 17 towards Tanjung Kling. Get off at the stop near Jalan Ujong Pasir (the bus ride takes about 30 minutes). Walk towards the hill, following the signs to St John's Fort, which is a short 10-minute walk uphill from the bus stop.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops located near Jonker Street. Cycle east on Jalan Hang Jebat, then turn left onto Jalan Ujong Pasir.
