Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from any location in the Northern Region, take the North-South Expressway (E1) heading south towards Kuala Lumpur. Depending on your starting point, this could take anywhere from 1 to 4 hours. Once you reach Kuala Lumpur, follow the signs for Jalan Tun Razak, then head towards Jalan Pudu. Central Market is located at Kuala Lumpur City Centre, 50050 Kuala Lumpur. There is limited parking available around the market, so be prepared to look for nearby parking facilities.

• Bus

  For those opting for public transportation, you can take an express bus from various locations in the Northern Region to Kuala Lumpur. Major bus terminals include Penang's Sungai Nibong Bus Terminal or Ipoh's Amanjaya Bus Terminal. Buses run frequently and typically take around 4 to 5 hours. Once in Kuala Lumpur, you can take the Light Rail Transit (LRT) to the Pasar Seni station, which is the closest station to Central Market. Upon exiting the station, it's just a short 5-minute walk to the market.

• Train

  Another option is to take the KTM Komuter train service from various Northern Region train stations (like Butterworth or Ipoh) to Kuala Lumpur. The journey may take around 3 to 5 hours. Alight at Kuala Lumpur Sentral station, where you can transfer to the LRT. Take the LRT to the Pasar Seni station. After exiting the station, follow the signs for Central Market, which is about a 5-minute walk away.

• Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider using a taxi or a ride-hailing service like Grab once you are in Kuala Lumpur. Simply input 'Central Market, Kuala Lumpur' as your destination. The cost will vary depending on your location, but expect to pay an average of RM10 to RM30 for a ride from nearby areas.
