Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
If you're driving, head towards George Town on the main roads. From the Penang Bridge, take the exit towards Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah and follow the signs to George Town. Once you're in the city, look for Jalan Penang and continue straight until you reach Jalan Phee Choon. Turn left onto Jalan Phee Choon, and you will find Chew Jetty located near the waterfront. There is street parking available nearby, but be mindful of parking regulations.
Public Transportation
Take a rapid bus (Rapid Penang) from your location; the 101 or 102 lines are good options that run through central Georgetown. Get off at the 'Pengkalan Weld' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Chew Jetty. Head towards the waterfront, and you can follow the signs directing you to the jetty. The area is pedestrian-friendly, so you'll find it easy to navigate.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of George Town, you can easily walk to Chew Jetty. From the Esplanade, head east along the coast on Lebuh Light. Continue until you reach Pengkalan Weld, then turn left and walk along the waterfront until you see signs for Chew Jetty. It’s a scenic walk that will take you through some of the historic parts of the city.
