Car
If you are driving, head towards George Town on Penang Island. Navigate to Lebuh Pantai (Beach Street), and from there you can look for directions to Chew Jetty. The exact address is Georgetown, 10300 George Town, Penang. Parking can be found nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking fees which may vary from RM2 to RM5 per hour depending on the location. Once you park, it is a short walk to the jetty.
Public Bus
Take the Rapid Penang bus number 101 or 102 from your location in Penang Island. Both buses have stops that lead to George Town. Alight at the bus stop nearest to the Esplanade, which is a popular landmark. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk towards Chew Jetty. Follow the signs towards the waterfront, and you will reach the jetty area. The bus fare typically costs around RM2.
Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service
For a more direct route, you can use a taxi or a ride-hailing service like Grab. Simply input 'Chew Jetty, Georgetown' as your destination. The fare will depend on your starting location but expect to pay between RM15 to RM30 for a trip from central George Town. The driver will drop you off near the jetty, from where you can easily walk to the entrance.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of George Town, Chew Jetty is accessible by foot. From the popular tourist spot of Little India, it is approximately a 25-minute walk. Head towards Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, then make your way to Lebuh Armenian and follow the waterfront towards the jetty. This walk will allow you to enjoy the local architecture and street art along the way.
