Bus
Start your journey at the Komtar Bus Terminal in George Town. Take the Rapid Penang Bus number 201 or 202 heading to Bukit Mertajam. The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. You will need to alight at the Bukit Mertajam Bus Terminal. From there, continue walking straight for about 10 minutes to reach Jalan Perak, where you can find a local taxi or ride-hailing service to take you directly to Bukit Mertajam Forest Park.
Train and Taxi
Head to the Butterworth Railway Station via public bus or taxi from your current location in Penang. From Butterworth, take the train on the KTM Komuter line towards Padang Rengas, and alight at Bukit Mertajam Station. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bukit Mertajam Station, you can take a local taxi or ride-hailing service to Bukit Mertajam Forest Park, which is approximately a 15-minute drive from the station.
