Car

If you are traveling by car, first head to Kuala Besut, which is the main access point to the Perhentian Islands. From Kuala Lumpur, navigate to Kuala Besut via the East Coast Highway (E8). The journey will take approximately 5-6 hours. Once in Kuala Besut, locate the jetty where boats to the Perhentian Islands depart. Purchase a ticket for the speedboat or ferry to Perhentian Island. The boat ride will take about 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on which island you are going to. After arriving on Perhentian Island, you can access Marriott Beach via a short walk or by hiring a local boat if necessary.

Public Transportation

If you prefer public transportation, take a bus from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Besut. Multiple bus companies operate this route, and you can purchase tickets online or at the bus terminal. The journey takes about 8-9 hours. Once you arrive in Kuala Besut, head to the jetty for boat transfers to the Perhentian Islands. Ensure you buy your boat ticket before boarding. Once you arrive at the island, you can walk or hire a local boat to reach Marriott Beach.
