Walking
If you are in the Sandakan town center near the Sandakan Plaza, head southeast on Jalan Persatuan. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach Jalan Taman. Turn left onto Jalan Taman and walk for another 300 meters. The Sandakan Liberation Monument will be on your right at Pusat Bandar Sandakan, 90000 Sandakan, Sabah. Look for the tall monument in the park area.

From the Sandakan Bus Terminal, take any local bus heading towards Pusat Bandar Sandakan. Inform the driver you are going to the Sandakan Liberation Monument. The ride should take around 15 minutes. Once you arrive, walk towards the center where you will see the monument located in the park area.
