Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Simanggang using the main highways. From Kuching, take the Jalan Kuching-Serian road (Federal Route 1) heading southeast for approximately 90 kilometers. Once you reach Simanggang, look for signs directing you towards Jalan Kuching/Serian. Fort Alice is located at Jalan Kuching/Serian 95000 Pantau, Sri Aman. There is parking available near the fort.
Public Transportation
To reach Fort Alice via public transportation, you can take a bus from Kuching to Simanggang. Head to the Kuching Sentral Bus Terminal and board a bus heading to Sri Aman or Simanggang. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Simanggang bus terminal, you can take a local taxi or grab a ride share service to Fort Alice, which is approximately 15 minutes away. Make sure to confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
Taxi
If you're already in Simanggang and prefer a quicker option, you can hire a taxi to take you directly to Fort Alice. Simply ask your hotel or a local for a taxi service, and tell the driver to take you to Jalan Kuching/Serian 95000 Pantau, Sri Aman. The fare should be reasonable, but it’s always good to negotiate and confirm the price before starting the ride.
