Car
If you are in the Southern Region and have access to a car, the most convenient way to reach Tambun Cave is to head towards Ipoh. From major towns like Seremban or Malacca, take the North-South Expressway (E1). Follow the signs for Ipoh, and take the exit towards Jalan Kuala Kangsar (Exit 140). Continue on this road until you reach the junction with Jalan Tambun. Turn left onto Jalan Tambun and follow this road, which will eventually lead you to Laluan Tambun Perdana. You will find the entrance to Tambun Cave at Taman Tambun, 31400 Ipoh, Perak. Ensure you have some cash for potential parking fees.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transport, start by taking a bus or train to Ipoh. From Kuala Lumpur, you can board a bus from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) or take a train from KL Sentral to Ipoh. The journey by bus takes approximately 3 hours, while the train takes about 2.5 hours. Upon arrival in Ipoh, you can take a local taxi or Grab (a ride-hailing service) to reach Tambun Cave. The taxi ride from Ipoh town to Tambun Cave will take about 15-20 minutes and may cost around RM15 to RM25. Make sure to check the local taxi fares and confirm the driver is using a meter.
Taxi or Ride-sharing
If you are already in Ipoh, you can easily catch a taxi or use a ride-sharing app like Grab to get to Tambun Cave. Simply enter 'Tambun Cave' as your destination in the app, and it will guide you directly there. The cost for this ride should be around RM15 to RM25, depending on your starting location within Ipoh. Make sure to confirm the estimated fare before starting your journey.
