Car
If you're driving, start from Kuala Terengganu city center. Head southwest on Jalan Sultan Ismail towards Jalan Bagan. Continue on Jalan Bagan for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with the East Coast Expressway (E8). Merge onto the E8 heading towards Kota Bharu. After about 30 kilometers, take the exit towards Kampung Penarik (Exit 74). Follow the signs for Kampung Penarik and continue straight on Jalan Penarik for about 5 kilometers until you arrive at Penarik Beach. There is no toll along this route.

Public Transportation
To reach Penarik Beach via public transportation, take a bus from Kuala Terengganu's main bus terminal. Look for buses heading to Setiu or Permaisuri. The fare is around RM 10-15 and the journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you reach Permaisuri, you will need to hire a taxi or ride-share service to Penarik Beach, which is about 15 kilometers away. Expect to pay around RM 20-30 for the taxi ride.

If you prefer a more direct route without public transport, you can book a Grab (a popular ride-share app in Malaysia) from Kuala Terengganu directly to Penarik Beach. Depending on traffic, the journey may take about 45 minutes to an hour, and the cost will be approximately RM 40-60.
