Car
If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Kuala Lumpur. Take the North-South Expressway (E1) heading north, then exit at the Jalan Gua Musang interchange (Exit 119) towards Gua Musang. Continue on Route 8 and follow the signage to Kuala Tahan, the nearest village to Taman Negara. The total driving distance is approximately 250 kilometers and may take around 3-4 hours depending on traffic.
Bus
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Kuala Lumpur to Jerantut. Buses depart from Terminal Bersepadu Selatan (TBS) and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. Upon arrival in Jerantut, transfer to a local bus or taxi to Kuala Tahan. Local buses run regularly, but if you prefer a taxi, be prepared to pay around RM 30-50 for the ride, which takes about 30 minutes.
Boat
Once you reach Kuala Tahan, you will need to take a boat to enter Taman Negara. The boat ride from Kuala Tahan to the park entrance takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around RM 1-5 per person. Make sure to check the boat schedule as they may vary depending on weather conditions.
