Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main beach area of Hulhumalé, head east towards the pedestrian walkway that leads to the ferry terminal. Walk along the waterfront promenade, enjoying the sea views on your left. Follow the path until you reach the end of the promenade, where you will see the ferry terminal. Cross the road and take the ferry to Malé. It’s a short ride, taking approximately 15 minutes. Upon arrival at Malé, exit the ferry terminal and turn left onto Boduthakurufaanu Magu. Continue walking for about 10 minutes, and you will find Republic Square on your right, just past the Central Park.

    Alternatively, if you are at the Hulhumalé central park area, head south towards the main road (Hulhumalé to Malé road). Turn left and walk straight until you reach the ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Malé. After disembarking, walk straight down Boduthakurufaanu Magu for approximately 10 minutes to reach Republic Square.

    If you are staying near the Hulhumalé Mosque, walk west towards the main road (Hulhumalé to Malé road), then turn right and continue walking until you reach the ferry terminal. Take the ferry across to Malé. After arriving, walk along Boduthakurufaanu Magu for about 10 minutes, and Republic Square will be on your right.
