Hulhumalé Central Park is the primary green space on the artificial island of Hulhumalé, near Malé. Since opening in 2016, it has become a favorite recreational area for both residents and tourists. The park was developed as part of a land reclamation project in the late 1990s to alleviate congestion in Malé.The park's design blends natural elements with modern facilities, offering zones for various activities and catering to all age groups. Visitors can enjoy a jogging track, basketball court, and football field. A children's play area provides a safe space for kids with swings and slides. The park also features gardens with tropical plants and flowers, as well as an artificial lake with a bridge.Central Park hosts community events like cultural festivals and night markets, serving as a hub for social activity. The park also includes the Maldives' largest water fountain with programmed sound and light features. The park is divided into four main areas: the mosque area, the leisure area, the interactive area, and the recreational area.
