Getting There

• Walking

  From the main jetty in Maafushi, head straight along the main road leading into the island. Continue walking for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection near the local school. At the intersection, turn left and follow the road for another 5 minutes. You will pass a few local shops and guesthouses on your way. Keep an eye out for the signposts indicating directions to Maamendhoo. After approximately 15 minutes of walking from the jetty, you will arrive at the edge of the island where you can catch a local boat to Maamendhoo. These boats typically depart every hour, but it’s best to check the local schedule. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. Once you reach Maamendhoo, disembark and walk towards the coordinates V946+5R, where Adibe Thela is located.

• Local Boat

  After reaching the jetty in Maafushi, look for the local boat service to Maamendhoo. The boats are usually marked with the destination and have a schedule posted at the jetty. Purchase your ticket from the ticket counter before boarding. The trip will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival at Maamendhoo, walk towards V946+5R, which is a short distance from the boat dock. You can ask locals for directions if needed.
