Walking
Republic Square is centrally located on the north shore of Malé, making it easily accessible on foot from many points in the city. From the Malé Local Market, walk east along Boduthakurufaanu Magu for about 5 minutes. The square will be on your left, near the Presidential Jetty.
Public Transport
If arriving by ferry from Velana International Airport ( находящ се на остров Хулхуле ), take a bus or taxi to the center of Malé. From any bus stop in the center, Republic Square is a short walk away. Bus fares within Malé start from MVR 3. Alternatively, the ferry from the airport to Malé costs around MVR 40.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Malé. A short taxi ride to Republic Square from any point in the city center will typically cost between MVR 25 and MVR 50, depending on the distance and traffic.
