Getting There

  • Ferry

    From Velana International Airport (MLE) on Hulhulé Island, take the public ferry to Malé. Ferries depart every 10 minutes from 6:00 AM to 11:59 PM and every 30 minutes from 12:00 AM to 5:59 AM. The journey takes approximately 10 minutes. The ticket counter is located at the exit of the airport building, look for the 'Ferry to Malé' sign. Cost: 15 MVR per trip (20 MVR from 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM). Luggage is limited to three pieces per ticket, but additional allowance can be purchased.

  • Taxi

    Taxis are readily available at Velana International Airport (MLE). A taxi to the MTCC Malé Ferry Terminal costs 75 MVR. Several taxi apps like Avas Ride, PickMe, and CabMv are also available. Cost: 75 MVR from the airport to the Malé Ferry Terminal.

  • Public Transport

    Take the shuttle bus from Velana International Airport to Hulhumale. The bus stop is 50 meters from the airport exit. Cost: MVR 20.
