Getting There

  • Seaplane

The most common and scenic way to reach Amilla Maldives is via seaplane from Velana International Airport (MLE) near Malé. Upon arrival at MLE and after clearing customs, you will be greeted by an Amilla representative who will escort you to the seaplane terminal. Manta Air operates the seaplanes to Amilla. The seaplane journey takes approximately 35 minutes, offering stunning aerial views of the Maldives. Seaplanes operate only during daylight hours, so arrivals after 3:00 PM may require an overnight stay in Malé or a domestic transfer. A shared seaplane transfer is around US$850 round trip per adult and US$450 per child, excluding taxes and service fees.

  • Domestic Flight and Speedboat

An alternative to the seaplane is a domestic flight from Velana International Airport (MLE) to Dharavandhoo Airport (DRV), followed by a 10-minute speedboat ride to Amilla. Manta Air operates the domestic flights. This option is recommended for guests arriving after seaplane operating hours or those who prefer not to travel by seaplane. The domestic flight takes approximately 20 minutes. Upon arrival at Dharavandhoo Airport, an Amilla representative will escort you to the speedboat. Contact Amilla in advance to arrange the domestic transfer. The cost for a domestic flight can range from $100-$200 per person.
