Seaplane
The primary mode of transport to Cocoon Maldives from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé is via seaplane. Upon arrival at MLE, you will be greeted by a resort representative who will escort you to the seaplane terminal. The scenic seaplane journey to Cocoon Maldives takes approximately 30 minutes. Seaplane transfers are arranged by the resort and operated by Trans Maldivian Airways. It is essential to provide your arrival and departure flight details to the resort at least 7 days prior to arrival to ensure seamless transfer arrangements. The roundtrip seaplane transfer costs are approximately USD 435 per adult (16 years and above) and USD 260 per child (2-15.99 years). Infants under 2 years travel free, provided they do not require a separate seat. Baggage allowance is 20 kg for checked luggage and 5 kg for hand luggage, with excess weight charged at USD 5 per kg. Note that seaplanes operate only during daylight hours (approximately 6:00 am to 3:30 pm). If your international flight arrives after 3:30 pm, you may need to arrange for overnight accommodation near the airport and take the seaplane to the resort the following morning.
