Domestic Flight & Taxi
The most common way to reach Hanimaadhoo is via a domestic flight from Velana International Airport (MLE) in Malé to Hanimaadhoo International Airport (HAQ). Maldivian Airlines operates multiple daily flights, with a flight duration of approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Hanimaadhoo International Airport, taxis are readily available for transfers to hotels and guesthouses. A taxi ride to accommodations within the island typically costs around 100-150 MVR. Flight tickets can range from $190 to $410. Baggage allowance is 20 kg, and excess baggage fees apply.
Public Transportation
Hanimaadhoo offers a public shuttle bus service that connects the airport with different points on the island.
