    Walking

    Republic Square is centrally located on the north shore of Malé, making it easily accessible on foot from many points in the city. From the Hulhumalè ferry terminal, walk east along Boduthakurufaanu Magu for about 5 minutes. The square will be on your left, marked by the large Maldivian flag.

    Public Transport

    If arriving by bus, several routes stop near Republic Square. Check local bus schedules for the most convenient route. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the square. Bus fares within Malé start from MVR 3.

    Taxi

    Taxis are readily available in Malé. A short taxi ride to Republic Square from anywhere in the city typically costs around MVR 20, with an additional MVR 10 charge for luggage in the trunk. After 11:00 PM, the fare increases to MVR 30.
