Start at the Thulusdhoo harbor area, which is the main entry point to the island. Head east along the main road, passing local shops and cafes. Continue walking until you reach the junction with Chaandhanee Magu, which is a major street in Malé. Turn left and follow Chaandhanee Magu for about 500 meters. The National Museum will be on your right side. It is a large building with distinctive architecture, so it should be easy to spot.

If you have rented a bicycle, begin at the Thulusdhoo harbor area and cycle east along the main road. As you approach the junction with Chaandhanee Magu, turn left. Take a local ferry from Thulusdhoo to Malé, which typically departs from the Thulusdhoo harbor. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes.
