Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the center of Bamako, head towards Avenue Moussa Tavele. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue Moussa Tavele. Turn left and continue walking. You will pass a few local shops and cafes. Keep walking until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenue Moussa Tavele. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer. The National Museum will be on your right, just before you reach the river. Look for the large sign indicating the museum.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    From the central bus station in Bamako, take a local bus heading towards Koulouba. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the National Museum. The bus will take you along Avenue Moussa Tavele. Once you get off, walk back a few steps, and you will see the entrance to the National Museum on your left. The entire journey should take about 20 minutes, depending on traffic.
