Walking
From the National Museum of Mali, the park entrance is a short walk. Follow the paved paths leading towards the Koulouba plateau; the park is situated beneath its terraced outcrops. There are no entrance fees for pedestrians.
Public Transport
Green and yellow minibuses (SOTRAMAs) are a common form of public transport in Bamako. These buses travel on fixed routes around Bamako. Ask the driver to drop you off near the National Museum; from there, it's a short walk to the park entrance. A ride on a SOTRAMA will cost between 175 and 350 CFA. Be prepared for potential wait times of up to an hour for certain lines.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Bamako. Negotiate the fare with the driver before starting your journey. A taxi ride from the city center to Mali National Park should cost approximately 2,000-4,000 CFA. Note that taxis may pick up other passengers along the way. Motorbike taxis are also an option for solo travelers. These can be faster for short trips but may not be as safe.
