Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Timbuktu. Drive south on Avenue Moussa Tavele for about 1 kilometer. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight for another 500 meters. You will see a sign for the Ahmed Baba Institute on your right. Turn right onto QXGW+45F, where the institute is located. Parking may be available nearby.
Public Transportation
Catch a local taxi or shared taxi (often referred to as 'clando') from any central location in Timbuktu. You can ask the driver to take you to the Ahmed Baba Institute, which they will likely know. The fare should be around 500 to 1000 CFA Francs. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the final stop with the driver before you get in.
Walking
