From Timbuktu, head southeast on Avenue Moussa Tavele towards Avenue A. Continue straight for about 6 km until you reach the fork. Take the left fork onto Route de Gao and continue for approximately 20 km. Look for signs pointing to Taoudani Salt Mines. Follow the dirt road for another 10 km, and you'll arrive at the salt mining site located at JX68+34, Agorgot. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for unpaved roads.
Public Transportation
Start at the main bus station in Timbuktu. Look for a shared taxi or minibus heading to Agorgot. The fare is usually around 2,000 to 3,000 CFA francs.
