Getting There

Walking
From the center of Birgu, head towards the main street, Triq Sant' Anna. Continue walking straight until you reach the water's edge. Once you are near the waterfront, turn left onto Triq il-Lanzarote. Keep walking until you reach the end of the street where you will find the entrance of the Valletta ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Valletta, which will take about 10 minutes.

After arriving in Valletta from the ferry, disembark and walk towards the exit of the ferry terminal. Once outside, head straight towards the city gate, passing through the entrance into Valletta. Continue along Republic Street until you reach the Upper Barracca Gardens. From there, you will find the Barrakka Lift entrance located nearby, which will take you to the lower Barracca area.
