    The Valletta Design Cluster is located at 25 Bull Street in the lower part of Valletta. From City Gate, walk along Republic Street, then turn onto Old Mint Street (Triq iz-Zekka). Continue down the street; the Valletta Design Cluster will be on your left, adjacent to the rear of Auberge de Bavière.

    The Valletta Design Cluster is easily accessible by bus. From the main bus terminal outside City Gate, walk towards the city entrance and follow the main street. Continue straight until you reach Bull Street. The Valletta Design Cluster is located at 25 Bull Street. A single bus ride costs €2.50 during the summer (mid-June to mid-October) and €2.00 during the winter. Consider purchasing a Tallinja card for discounted fares if you plan to use public transport frequently.

Situated in the renovated Old Abattoir (Il-Biċċerija l-Antika), a building with a rich history dating back to the 17th century, the VDC serves as a bridge between Valletta's past and its future.Originally built as a slaughterhouse, the building later served as residences, soldiers' barracks, and even housed bakeries. After years of neglect, the Old Abattoir has been transformed into a modern space for innovation, retaining historical elements while integrating contemporary design features.The VDC provides resources and areas for co-working, a makerspace, meeting rooms, conference facilities, and studios. A key feature is the publicly accessible roof garden, offering panoramic views of the city and the sea. The VDC hosts exhibitions, workshops, pop-up markets, and collaborative projects, fostering a dynamic environment for artists, designers, and entrepreneurs. It aims to promote user-centered design and create positive impacts for communities and individuals.
