Public Transport
From Rabat, take bus route 51, 52, 53, 56, 109, 181, 182, 186, 201 or 202 towards the 'Bahrija' bus stop. From there, it's approximately a 30-minute walk to Blata tal-Melh. Be prepared for a challenging hike down to the salt pans. A single bus fare costs approximately €2.50.

If you are near Dingli Cliffs, it is about a 30-40 minute walk to Blata tal-Melh. Follow the path leading towards Rabat, then navigate towards Triq is-Sajf ta' San Martin. Be aware that the path can be steep and uneven.
Car
From Rabat, navigate towards Triq is-Sajf ta' San Martin. There is a car park near the start of the trail. Parking is free, but spaces are limited. From the parking area, follow the road up to a smaller parking area, then turn left. The hike to Blata tal-Melh starts from there.
