Driving
The most convenient way to reach Tal-Mixta Cave is by car. From Nadur, follow Triq l-Għassa tal-Maħraġ to its end. The road is unsealed but manageable for most cars if driven slowly. Park in the designated parking bays approximately 300 meters from the cave. From there, a short walk and a descending staircase lead to the cave entrance. Parking is free.
Public Transport
To reach Tal-Mixta Cave by public transport, take bus 302 from Victoria (Rabat) to the 'Qasab' bus stop in Nadur. From the bus stop, walk 1.8 km to the cave. Follow Triq ta' Xurdin, then turn left onto Triq ir-Ramla l-Ħamra, veer left again onto Triq I-Inżul tal-Franċiżi, and finally turn right onto Triq I-Għassa tal-Maħraġ. The walk takes approximately 30 minutes. A single bus ticket costs €2.50 in summer, €2.00 in winter, and €3.00 for night service.
Walking
For a scenic route, hike to Tal-Mixta Cave from Ramla Bay. A path climbs the cliff on the eastern end of the beach. The hike is steep and takes 15-20 minutes. Wear closed shoes due to the slippery, gravelly terrain. Ensure you have enough daylight, as hiking after sunset is not recommended.
