Alternatively, several bus routes connect Valletta to Bugibba, including routes 31, 45, 48, and TD13. From Sliema, you can take bus 212 or TD13 to Bugibba.

The jetty itself is lined with cafes and shops, offering refreshments and souvenirs.In July 2025, a new breakwater and ferry terminal were inaugurated at Bugibba Jetty, enhancing its infrastructure and providing better protection for moored vessels. The 180-meter breakwater reduces wave impact, ensuring safer conditions for fishing boats and small vessels. The addition of a 36-meter branch offers further shelter during inclement weather, while the new terminal provides sheltered waiting areas for passengers.
