We found them to be a pretty good way to see all the tourist attractions

There are a couple of companies running this type of tour. Blue tour goes round the north of Malta, Red tour goes round the south of Malta and Green tour goes to Gozo. We found them to be a pretty good way to see all the tourist attractions. Most places of interest included and hopping off for an hour to visit and then hopping back on the next bus worked for us. Buses not crowded (maybe October was a good time of the year). Audio was a bit "hit and miss" but we were there to see the sights (great from the open top). At 20 euros each for a full days travel, we thought it was good value for money.

Great tour overall, however, the highlight of the trip for many was Mdina. Would have been great if we could spend more than 45 mins before ending the excursion.

An excellent experience. As another reviewer has noted, you will be joining different day trips each day with different guides and groups. However, it is run incredibly smoothly. My wife and I were picked up at the airport and there was a representative waiting for us at our hotel to go over the logistics. We stayed at the Hotel Juliani, which I recommend for its location and friendly staff. Each day I received communications from Michael with the company with details for the following day. One day there was a delay with our pickup but it was handled quickly. He also went above and beyond when our return flight changed. If you are torn between this version and the 5-day one, go with this one as the inclusion of Gozo was a highlight among many highlights.
