The Victoria Lines are a series of 19th-century fortifications built by the British military, stretching 12km across Malta along the Great Fault. Also known as the 'Great Wall of Malta,' they offer scenic hiking trails with historical insights and panoramic views.

Public Transport
To reach the Victoria Lines using public transport, take a bus to Rabat from Valletta or other major towns. From Rabat, you can either walk or take a taxi to reach the Lines. Alternatively, take a bus to Dingli and walk to the Lines from there. Bus routes 109 will take you closest to the western end of the trail. A single bus ticket costs around €2.
Walking
The Victoria Lines can be accessed from various points along its 12km stretch. If starting near Bingemma, you can park your car near the Chapel of Our Lady of Itria and access the lines to the right of the chapel. From the 'Lellux' bus stop, a small road across the street leads to Kuncizzjoni, about 1 km away, which is near the start of the trail.
Taxi
Taxis are readily available throughout Malta. A taxi from Valletta to near Rabat, a common access point to the Victoria Lines, will cost approximately €20-€30. Pre-booking is advisable, especially during peak tourist season. Ride-sharing services like Bolt and Uber also operate in Malta, offering a similar price range.
