Walking
From the central area of Gzira, head towards the seafront promenade, known as the Gzira Waterfront. Walk along the promenade towards Sliema. Once you reach the end of the promenade, continue straight onto the road leading to the ferry terminal. You will pass by various cafés and shops. At the ferry terminal, buy a ticket for the Valletta ferry. The ferry ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes, providing you with beautiful views of the Grand Harbour. Once you arrive at Valletta, exit the ferry terminal and walk straight ahead. You will reach Republic Street in less than 5 minutes, where the City Gate is located.
Bus
From Gzira, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the main road near the Gzira seafront. Look for buses heading towards Valletta; these are typically marked with 'Valletta' on the front. The bus journey takes roughly 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Valletta bus terminus, exit the bus and walk straight ahead for about 5 minutes until you reach Republic Street. The City Gate will be on your left.
