Bus
From Gzira, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Triq ix-Xatt. Take bus number 41 or 42. These buses will take you towards the direction of Mġarr. You will need to stay on the bus for approximately 40 minutes. The bus will pass through beautiful coastal areas, and you can enjoy the scenic views. Get off at the 'Mġarr' bus stop. From there, it's a short 15-minute walk to Fomm ir-Riħ Beach.

Ferry
While there is no direct ferry from Gzira to Mġarr, you can take a ferry from Valletta. First, make your way to the Valletta Ferry Terminal by taking a bus from Gzira to Valletta (about 15 minutes). Once in Valletta, catch the ferry to Mġarr. The ferry ride takes around 30 minutes. After arriving at Mġarr, follow the signs for Fomm ir-Riħ Beach, which is about a 15-minute walk from the ferry terminal.

If you're up for a challenge, you can walk to Fomm ir-Riħ Beach from Gzira. Start by heading towards Sliema, then follow the coastal path towards St. Julian's. Continue along the coastal promenade until you reach the area around the Valletta Waterfront. From there, you can navigate towards Mġarr through local roads. This will be a long walk, taking several hours, but you will experience the beautiful views of the coast along the way.
